I go approached to join a main committee! Wow! That's 60 points. Plus a sub com, 20 points. That would mean 80 points. I have now accumulated 7 points, so 87. Plus inter-block games, 92. And CCA.. Er.. 112 points? Hmmm.. Good enough, good enough.

Had traditional games during the day. Suffered numerous abrasions, of which, a few had become infected. So now I cannot walk. Left toe, bad infection. Ouch..

OG production was nice, and got saboed by OG for the dance competition. They shouted 'Edmond, mambo. Edmond mambo.' -_-" Haha.. Very crappy..

And guess what?? My OG won the best OG! Yay!

Following, everyone was blind-folded for nearly 7 hours. Had to travel around campus, do stuff until I reached back at 7:10am. Orientation has officially ended. It's kinda sad, but I guess we all need the rest.

Tue
Mass dance in the morning. Represented my OG and danced on stage with 3 other OG mates. Managed to win some points.
Amazing race from afternoon to night. Totally tired out. Went to many places, including NUS, which was very very ironic. OG came out 5th out of the 6 groups. But it didn't really matter. Cause it was fun.

Wed
Fell sick, fever, blocked nose, headache, cough. Didn't go for record-breaking blind date, so no T-Shirt for me. Haha.. Missed Sentosa too.

Thur
Missed city hike cause they embarked from Sentosa. Joined them for dinner and Cluedo, which was a 'fright game'. Ok, they're supposed to scare us, but my partner and I ended up laughing at most stations, for unsure reasons. Maybe laughing keeps our minds off the impending fear that lurks. Anyway, realised I had 2 DHS juniors in the same OG!

Fri
Appointed IC for the day, and so cheered like siao for pool games, though I didn't participate. Secret Pal night was interesting. Got poured hot wax on my back and front, did lots of silly things in order to get the hand of my secret pal for the dinner date. Dinner was Japanese style. OGLs really did a great job! Kudos to them. Oh yes, my secret pal's friendly, thankfully! Can talk and hold a decent conversation, so not bad. Dinner was followed by mass dance with SP, and R&B/Mambo with OG. FUN! Been so long since I let myself loose. Haha.. Was a good relaxation. Supper was at 12mn with OG at City Harvest Coffee Shop. Now back in hall, waiting for washing machine to be done with my clothes. Yawn..

Dirty, smelly, sweaty, tired. 4 words to describe today.

Had to go to camp to finish up my cos during the day, so could only participate for the night session. And... It was dirty enough!

I missed the mud from the afternoon, but had my fair share of butter, mayo sauce, rice, vegetables, dirty shoe, dirty mop head, er.. lingerie -_-", soy sauce, viniger, ketchup, chilli, raw egg, lots and lots of flour, and of course, like sugar to tea, water to cogulate the flour.

And yes, a nice little burn on my left arm to help me remember the orientation. LOL!

Anyway, we won the telematch. Haha.. Yay..

Tired, breakfast at 7:30am tomorrow. They'll be giving morning calls at 7am.

And yes, I realised my block's the so-called slack block. Haha.. Block 11. But met a familiar face. Someone from Seletar Camp as well. He recognised me, and found out he's a friend of Kok Koon. Lol!

By a twist of events, I ended up at Arthur's house even though that was not my initial plan. But.. I was glad I went!

We recorded a prayerworks-like song, Arthur (Drums), Chen Hong (Acoustic Guit) and myself (Electric Guit). Woah, it was nice! Will try to get the recorded mp3 from Arthur.

1st time playing on the drums too. Didn't know it requires so much hand and leg co-ordination. Took a while to get the hang of it. Nice nice. :)

Tomorrow's my M9 exam. I need to pass it, and passing criteria is 70% correct. Oh yeah, I so do love challenges. -_-"

Work would have been good, if I had not a blocked ear, headache, runny nose and cough. But it was nice seeing some old students whom I taught before I entered army. Flipped through there exercise books and I saw my own handwriting in the first few pages! Haha.. And the ideas I suggested 2+ years back were still in use. Nostalgia flood.

I have to balance my time well. They approached me to work long-term for them, and my olympus agent asked me when I'm free to work, AND I'm starting work in Prudential in about 1.5 months time, AND I start school in 2 months time. -_-"

Went for ORD talk today with other people from the same unit, but different camp. We were told to dress smart casual, but of course, some people just like to act smart and be different.

So there were basically 3 distinct groups of people; those who dress normally, shabbily, and fancifully (as though they're going clubbing). It's ridiculously hilarious.

I have currently a few job offers for my post-NS-in-the-midst-of-uni days.
- Become a Financial Advisor and work for Prudential
- Work for Kumon Katong, where I used to work before my NS and during my JC days. Basically the job requires me to teach, mark homework, prepare homework and attend to parents' weird demands
- Work for The Manhattan Fish Market as a waiter.

Ponder ponder.. I might just take up the last two jobs. But would I still have time for study and hall activities? Aiyo..

Oh yeah, The Manhattan Fish Market is now OPENED in Plaza Singapura. It's better and cheaper than Fish and Co. So.. *Cough* The choice is obvious. Patronage them today!

I've just done my maths. 99 absolute days before I ORD. It seems quite long, considering how time seems to crawl at snail-pace when you monitor it so closely. But oh well, the day will come. 23rd August 2005 - the day I get to see my pink IC again.

Next week would be quite a packed week for me. The only free night I can think of is Tuesday night, which happens to be server maintainance for World of Warcraft. That means my pitiful level 33 priest will have to remain in the humiliation of being a slow leveler, and get stuck in the same level for another week or so. Bother..

Another 5 hrs 20mins before I leave home for duty. Double sigh. And somehow, as I swallow my saliva, there's a little pain coming from the throat. Please don't let it be another sore throat.

I have realised, that one of the best feelings in the world is when one satisfies his hunger with palatable food.

I didn't mean to raise my voice at Pizza Hut in the evening at the group of waitresses. They were ignoring me so I shouted 'excuse me' loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. All I wanted.. Was 2 cups of ice water. Lol!

Paiseh, I don't know how to use 'hello' to post multiple photos in 1 entry! Lol.. So gotta settle for one-picture-one-entry for the time being.

Today was sooooo fun! Went S2 with Xuan, Alexa and Wenyong, and Pastor Tan preached such a wonderful sermon. It literally blew my mind, not to mention seeing Irvin, Randolph, Yieling, Ann, Xueying, Kok Koon etc. Been such a long time since I last saw them. Probably cause we attend service on different days now.

After which, went to Lau Pa Sat for dinner with CG, followed by coffee at TCC (which was actually my 1st time, gosh, how swaku).

But what made my day was my angel (read: angel and mortal game)! Yayee! He/She bought me chocolates! Roche sia.. Dun play play yo.. Thanks angel!

I went for a movie today! It's a big thing cause I seldom visit the theatre. Lol.. Was rather impromptu though. Received an sms from Chen Hong in the morning when I was sleeping, and within 2 hours from replying, I was downtown with him. Haha.. Turned out he had some unexpected early release from camp.

And so, we chose 'The Pacifier' cause the timing was the best cineleisure could offer. Good show, nice laugh. Lol..

Besides that, I realised I have an uncanny craving for coke light. That's bad. I've never wanted to drink something so badly ever since bubble tea became passe. Total count for the day, 2 cans and 1 medium cup of coke light.

Oh ya, guess what? I just finished dinner and it's 12:35am (of course, and a can of coke light). Looks like it'll be 1am before I sleep, lest I awake with indigestion tomorrow morning.

I practically slept the whole day today. Was like, repaying the sleep debt for the whole of last week. Yesterday la kopi with an old friend till 4+am at Hougang S11. Sooooo tired! Maybe due to the lack of sleep, I've not found back my voice I lost since last fri. -_-" And I think I sound like Ah-Du now lor.. Should go ktv and try singing his songs. Lol!

So perhaps duty today is a good idea cause it provided an opportunity for me to sleep, sleep, sleep. Zzz..

I know most of the people from the '84 batch have already ORDed. But I just have to say this.. Less than 3 months before I start clearing leave! Darn.. I ORD so late, I have to clear leave and attend lessons in NTU! Lol!

Anyhow, my camp is now infested with mosquitos! Tried to sleep during office hours *cough*, but the mosquitos in the mess are just too overwhelming I could not get to sleep. Maybe it's on purpose by my officers. *grinz*

I hate camp and some people in camp! In particular, actually only one person. But I suppose a lot of people know him and I cannot clique. Oh well, that doesn't concern me really. Cause I'm only 4 months+ from my release. So slow!!

Just too lazy to do anything. My room is in it's usual mess, but never got down to clearing it. Everyday.. It's the same few events. Go camp, reach home, play WoW, watch Naruto, sleep. Haha.. Quite eventful eh..

The smell of rain permeates the air as the hustle of life continues along the street right out my window.

I suppose, some people, in their own ways, stopped in their tracks to remember Pope John Paul II, as he moved on into another stage.

I can't help but feel a pinch of sorrow as newstations all over the world put together snippets of his life on broadcast. I watched him as CNN played the collage of short videos. He's a great man, and I silently mourned our loss.

Returning to camp after bath. Sigh, milan firing tomorrow. Which means I've to awake by 5am and leave camp by 6am. Literally dragging myself back and not thinking about the firing tomorrow. *dread*

It would have been more enjoyable if I can clique with everyone who's going. Alas, all but one. It wouldn't bother much I guess.. But such a haolian person would inevitably get on my nerves!
